Avoca Vale Country Hotel, the name drawing its inspiration from the new owner’s Irish roots. Avoca Vale is an idyllic spot in Ireland and what can be more tranquil than a charming hotel overlooking the majestic Soutpansberg, with a large garden laced with colourful roses, lilies and clivias and a serene pool?
The building that houses the reception area, lounges and dining room used to be a farmhouse that dates back to the late 1930’s. Avoca Vale Country Hotel now has six garden-wing suites, four hotel suites and seven family suites and three budget rondawels, a dining room, two lounges and a conference venue accommodating up to 80 pax.
All the rooms, including the original rondawel rooms of the guest farm, have been refurbished. The Hotel now also boasts a cosy ladies bar, the Strawbury Duck. The Hotel serves an la carte menu every evening and a delicious Sunday luncheon. Rae’s Cafe, at the hotels entrance, is open Tuesday to Saturday form 10am - 4pm. Guests can sit in the beautiful gardens and enjoy exotic light meals, cakes and tea etc.
