Letaba River Lodge Tzaneen lies in the scenic Letaba valley at 710m above sea level. Tzaneen is a beautiful subtropical area that accommodates some 80 000 residents, making it the second largest town in the Limpopo.

Situated near the pictures country town of Tzaneen in the Limpopo province of South Africa, Letaba River Eco Park Lodge is an oasis of peace and tranquility.

The name Tzaneen could originate from the sotho word “Tzanene” meaning basket. On arriving in our town this would make perfect sense seeing that it was looked upon as a basket of fruit.

Due to our above average rainfall, and climate everything grows here in great abundance – nuts, fruit, pine even coffee and tea. Our area is also known as the “ Valley of the Oliphant’s”. Just an hour’s drive from the Kruger Park makes it the perfect stop-off for some relaxation.

Just one of the other attractions of so many is the Modjaji Rain Forest where you will be captured in a fairy tail rain forest.
