Magoebaskloof Birders Cottage
Magoebaskloof Birders' Cottage is located in the Magoebaskloof Valley on the edge of the Limpopo Drakensberg escarpment.
Historically the valley was grassland with acacia and kiaat trees dotted about with patches of mist belt forest in ravines and along river lines.
The cottage is on a working organic farm producing avocados, kiwis and indigenous plants. The cottage has two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have double beds.
The first room has an en suite outside bathroom. The shower and double bath are in the open but are private. The toilet is under cover.
The second room has a double bed on the mezzanine level with two single beds on the lower level. Its bathroom is indoors. Linen and towels are provided. The spacious lounge has a fireplace. The cottage is not serviced.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with an electric stove, fridge, deep freeze and microwave oven. A Weber braai is supplied. All you need to bring is your food and drinks. The cottage is a no-smoking zone; smokers are kindly requested to smoke outside. Regret no pets are allowed.
