The starting point is at the home of the race, Magoebaskloof Hotel. From here the exhilarating 70km route takes riders through the Woodbush Forest Reserve, nearby tea plantations and private farmland.
There are some spectacular down hills and an awesome 23km climb that takes the riders from 800m above msl up to the highest point on the route at 1735m above sml. Although the 75km route is not technically challenging, it is rated "BLACK" (The hardest category) for the severity of the endurance aspect of the ride. The shorter, less challenging 35km route, rated "RED" cuts out the main downhill and climb and rejoins the route through the mountain farmlands
These routes has been carefully designed to allow for the best scenery, riding and running. The contribution of the Rotary Club of Tzaneen, Round Table and Lions of Tzaneen has helped to make this annual event a huge success.
