    Kemp in semi-captivity and can be watched at a close quarters. At Bandur Safaris we offer in excess of fifteen huntable species including lion. Cape buffalo, white rhino, leopard, roan antelope and sable antelope can also be found on the ranch. We  offer various hunts in Limpopo province in areas that span thousands of acres, with 35 concessions available.

    Accommodation in Tthe  Bandur Lodge, is the tradition of old Africa you will be accommodated in rustic, en suite thatched lodges that sleep up to eight people. Other facilities include a large, open thatched dining area and an outdoor fireplace (boma). A sparkling swimming pool, bar and recreational area with pool table are additional facilities available to our guests.

  • Kololo Game ReserveWaterberg Region - Vaalwater
    Kololo Game Reserve

    This course is open to a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 5 people. Accommodation is in safari tents. Delegates will enjoy "bush cooking" in the outdoors on some evenings or dinner will be served at the restaurant on Kololo Game Reserve.

    On completion of the course there will be an exam to test the skills learned and a certificate will be awarded to successful candidates.

    Training Course Information The Ranger course is ideally suited for people wishing to improve their own personal knowledge of wildlife and game farming.

    There is no entry level required in order to enrol for the course, however, a basic knowledge of game conservation and the veld would be helpful to the student, but not essential. The course is conducted in English.

    Reserve was evolved naturally & to date 280 species of bird have been identified in Acacia Bush. Pietersburg Bird Sanctuary, which was awarded the best sanctuary of its kind in South Africa.

    The Polokwane Bird and Reptile Game Reserve adjacent to the city is one of the largest municipal owned game reserves in South Africa. It offers more than 21 game species and a one-day hiking trail over 20 km with overnight accommodation.

    The Polokwane Bird and Reptile Park has many interesting species and has snake demonstrations. A wonderful variety of birds of over 280 species can be seen at the Polokwane Bird Sanctuary where hides and picnic spots are also available.

    Polokwane Game Reserve

    3200 ha game reserve with more than 21 species of game. The reserve has got an excellent road network for self guided game drives.

    Guided day and night game drives in open safari vehicles can be arranged and as a result of the private initiatives horseback safaris, guided bush trails and bush meals are also offered on request.

    There are also accommodation facilities on the reserve that consists of traditional thatched rondawels, six sleeper chalets and a fully furnished Farmhouse that can accommodate 18 people.

    There is also a spacious caravan park and camping ground that is right at the entrance tot the reserve that offers comfortable modern amenities.

    Sanwild Wildlife Sanctuary

    SanWild’s exclusive Savannah Private Bush Camp has been named after a female leopard rescued in 2003 after hunters trapped her illegally for a canned hunt.

    The 6000 hectare SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary has introduced numerous rescued and rehabilitated wild animals including impala, kudu, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, waterbuck, common and mountain reedbuck, grey duiker, nyala, giraffe, zebras, steenbok, rhinos, hippos and elephants.

    Some very elusive and rare creatures like pangolin and aardvark have also chosen of their own accord to make this protected reserve their home.

    Selati Game Reserve

    The Selati Game Reserve was proclaimed as a conservancy in 2003 and added more than 30,000ha to the greater Kruger Park area.

    The reserve is typical of the savannah grassland biome with six different veld types offering a great diversity of habitats that support 26 species of large mammal.

    The Selati Game Reserve is a collection of several neighbouring game ranches that amalgamated to preserve and sustain the biodiversity of this wildlife-rich region.

    LEO Africa conservation volunteer programmes provide valuable research services for this non-commercial game reserve.

    The information is used to maintain a healthy ecosystem and restore this land to its former state of wilderness before man came along.

    The information is obtained through an intensive predator and wildlife monitoring programme, which offers you, the volunteer, an opportunity to learn about and contribute to conservation in one of the most diverse wildlife sanctuaries in South Africa.

    Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm

    Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm, is the largest commercial crocodile farm in southern hemisphere. They have approximately 22000 crocodiles of varying sizes and export crocodile products.

    Feeding time at Thaba Kwena is an experience not to be missed. As the largest crocodile farm in South Africa open to the public, there are usually about 250 adults and hundreds of smaller crocodiles basking in the sun.

    Browse around in the curio shop for gifts and curios. Frozen, vacuum-packed crocodile meat can also be bought.
