Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Ndavhe Ramakuela as its new Chief Marketing Officer, heading the Integrated Destination Marketing Division. Mr. Ramakuela comes with impeccable experience having worked in municipalities for a number of years. He brings relief to the entity which has been without a marketing head for over a year now.
His responsibilities will include but not limited to the implementation of the tourism marketing strategy, tourism information services, conventions bureau, stakeholders relations and digital marketing.
“The appointment of Mr. Ramakuela is long overdue and brings relief to the Agency which was operating without the head of a core division that is responsible for destination marketing. We are excited about this appointment and we view it as critically important because he will help jack up operations in the division in line with the mandate of our entity. He comes with enormous experience from the public sector and we have full confidence in him to lead the core division of the Agency to greater heights. We wish him all the best in his new responsibility and we are confident that his appointment will add value to the entity”, said LTA CEO, Ms Nomasonto Ndlovu.
Ramakuela is known for being instrumental in the hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Limpopo where he was the Polokwane Host City representative. He is associated with the success of hosting the event as well as the subsequent growth of the Peter Mokaba Stadium as a meca of soccer activities years after the stadium was built. He is a skilled administrator with over 15 years’ experience in the public sector, especially local government sector where he played various roles from that of a communicator and head of stakeholder relations to facilities manager.
