The Annual two-week long Mapungubwe Arts Festival is the flagship project of Limpopo’s Department of Sport, Arts and Culture. The festival that takes place during the first two weeks of December in Polokwane, Limpopo Province is viewed as a big melting pot of cultures and traditions; the festival is intended at fostering social cohesion and nation building through a collective celebration and embracing of great arts, culture, heritage and lifestyle.
The 13th Edition of the Limpopo Marula festival is a sequel to twelve other festivals that have taken place since its inception in 2006. It comes at a time when Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism has concluded plans and arrangements to develop the Limpopo Marula Hub at Ingwe Park.

Let’s remove our blinkers for a moment and try to view Polokwane for what it is – a tourist destination and an impeccable province that deserves a lengthy visit this festive season.

The festive period is once again upon us. This is the time when families come together after a long period of separation to celebrate the season. It is also the moment during which all people across religious beliefs display a gesture of generosity by giving to loved ones and those in need. This is a very important time when people should embrace one another across their religious beliefs as a people.
On Monday, November 20, the Limpopo Tourism Agency announced its new chief executive officer (CEO). Nomasonto Ndlovu is the first black female CEO to head LTA, following the departure of Ndumiso Matlala in April this year.
