INDABA is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar and one of the top three ‘must visit’ events of its kind on the global calendar.
It showcases the widest variety of Southern Africa's best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world. INDABA is owned by South African Tourism and organised by Kagiso Exhibitions and Events.

SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM’s annual INDABA opened with a glittering ceremony in Durban last night and with a strong message that the South African Tourism industry remains buoyant, remains positive and is already celebrating the FIFA 2010 World CupTM spectacular that was now fewer than 400 days away.
South African Tourism Board Chairperson, Mr Jabu Mabuza, told a packed Chief Albert Luthuli Convention Centre Auditorium that the 2010 FIFA World Cup brought great opportunity to the South African travel industry. “The eyes of the world will be on us,” he said. “They are, in fact, already on us. We confidently expect 300 000 visitors in South Africa for the World Cup and we remain cautiously optimistic of attaining our ambition to welcome 10 million visitors in 2010”.
