21.11.11As people prepare to take their vacation at this time of the year, our Province has already started to experience a high volume of tourists for various reasons including vacation, visiting friends and relatives (VFR), or using our province as a gateway to the neighboring SADC countries.
Limpopo Tourism Agency CEO, Mr. Rob Tooley, said, “We are calling upon all citizens of our peaceful province to continue offering the warm welcome we are known for to all tourists, friends and relatives this festive season. Our tourism industry in the province is known for its excellence and those coming to our province will be served with a broad smile. We are encouraged by the signs of growth in tourism during the second quarter of 2011. For us to create a tourism culture in our country and province we would encourage all citizens of Limpopo to visit our many icons and realize the value that we have as a province.”
We are calling upon those who have not made a decision on an ideal vacation to feel free to contact our offices for affordable, accessible and incredibly wild experiences like never before. There are also opportunities for those who are on a shoe string budget in the form of day visits and outings which are very reasonable and ideal for a family outing. We call for people to take a ‘sho’t left’ to Limpopo and experience the land of myth and legends, a kaleidoscope of people, a place where the queen still has the power to make rain, a place where rhinos are made of gold, come and have a festive experience in an enchanted Limpopo.
Ideal hotspots in our province include the Kruger national Park, Mapungubwe World Heritage Site, Bela-bela Hotsprings, Nylsvlei Nature Reserve, Schuinsdraai Nature Reserve (Flag Boshielo Dam), Modjadji Cycad Forest, Makgobaskloof Canopy Tours, Shonalanga Wildlife Resort, Makuya Park, to mention but just a few.
Limpopo Wildlife Resorts (LWR), the commercial wing of the LTA, is charged with the responsibility of rendering hospitality services in provincial reserves. The division has thus put together affordable packages for this festive season and just in case you are still undecided where to spend your holidays this festive season you are urged to visit www.golimpopo.com or www.limpopowildliferesorts.com
