29.11.11Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) is geared up to receive even more visitors this festive season. The agency is encouraged even more by Quarter 2 Report of the South African Tourism (SAT), which shows that Limpopo has seen a significant increase in tourism activities compared to the same period in 2010. It is noteworthy to state that South Africa as a whole saw a decline of 1.3% (135 232) during the month of June 2011 compared to that of 2010. The decline was anticipated as South Africa was hosting the FIFA World Cup during June and July 2010. The report further states that Limpopo has shown a significant increase of on revenue during the same period (6.7%).
“For the success of the campaign, we will partner with other stakeholders such as car rental companies, airport lounges, airlines, accommodation establishments, tour operators and tourism information centres for packaging tourism offerings that will be sold as a promotion for the festive”, said the CEO of LTA, Mr. Rob Tooley.
