LTP Is Ready For Indaba 2010

Limpopo Tourism and Parks will be participating in Indaba 2010 to showcase tourism products in the province, including the SMME’s. In 2009, we took along more than 20 SMME products to Indaba and we hope to increase the number this year to give more tourism products exposure in the tourism field to ensure that we get maximum arrivals in our province in 2010 and beyond.

Like all the years, the LTP will be taking along other stakeholders like municipalities (Local and District Municipalities) to showcase products the province has to offer.

It is prudent, however to indicate that 2010 Indaba’s main focus will be soccer as this is the year for the big soccer spectacular, FIFA World Cup. The LTP will also take along with it the Office of the Premier and Polokwane Municipality as the main participants in the trade show to take place in Durban in May 2010, because they are both dealing with 2010 issues as a province and a host city respectively.

It is imperative to also note that Limpopo Wildlife Resorts, a business division of Limpopo Tourism and Parks which was launched in October 2009, will also be showcasing some of its offerings at 2010 Indaba.

Our Provincial winners and finalists of the 2009 Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (ETEYA), Tiveka Game Lodge will also be taken along because the announcement of the winners will be made at this august occasion. We are optimistic that our province will emerge victors in this year’s ETEYA competitions.
