New CEO of SA Tourism Announced

Thulani Nzima has been named the new CEO of SA Tourism. Nzima currently holds the position of Director: Sales and Marketing at Avis. He also previous worked at SAA as Senior Executive Manager and CEO of South African Travel Centre (SATC)

Minister of Tourism, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, said:  “I am very pleased with Mr Thulani Nzima’s appointment. He not only has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the tourism industry, but his management skills will certainly steer SAT to greater heights.

The tourism industry globally has faced many challenges. Therefore, we need capable and strategic leaders who will not only create opportunities for tourism growth, but will take advantage of new opportunities that lie ahead. I am confident that he will lead with integrity and courage.”

Nzima’s term of office will be for three years, with effect from his date of appointment.
