New Constitution For Tourist Guide Association

A new constitution has been drafted for the newly-formed Federation of South African Tourist Guides Associations.
 
The federation will speak as one voice on behalf of all tourist guides associations and their members in South Africa. The objective of the new constitution is to create a new awareness of the role that tourist guides play in the tourism industry.
 
The draft constitution addresses issues such a professionalising the industry and its ability to negotiate with other tourism role players. The federation will be headed by a national executive committee, which has been elected from a national representative committee.
 
A full time office with a secretary will be set up in the near future.
