LIMPOPO; POLOKWANE: Limpopo Tourism Agency’s commercial wing Limpopo Wildlife Resort hosted yet another Wildlife Mahala Week from the 15th -19th September 2014 whereby a total of 393 people went through our gates free of charge during that week; this is part of our drive to encourage and grow domestic tourism. The public is encouraged to continue visiting other local tourism attractions within their localities and take advantage of the industry special available on our website, www.golimpopo.com
The Wildlife Mahala Week is hosted as a result of the various consultative stakeholder relations events that we hosted throughout the Province and the standing Co-Management Agreement meetings hosted with the communities that have agreements with LTA, whereby concerns were raised that communities surroundings our Resorts are now fully knowledgeable of what these Resorts have to offer.
“Its our view as LTA that by hosting the Wildlife Mahala Week will not only be exposing citizens and locals to what Provincial Resorts have to offer but, we will also be building brand ambassadors and instilling a culture of travel within our own people” said Ms. Seipati Tlaka Acting Chief Executive of Limpopo Tourism Agency.
As a way of closing off Tourism Month Celebrations, the Chairperson of LTA Board, Mr. Mashilo Matsetela, will lead a delegation to the World Tourism Day Celebrations at Haksteenpan in Upington; Northern Cape on Saturday 27 September 2014.
