On Monday, November 20, the Limpopo Tourism Agency announced its new chief executive officer (CEO). Nomasonto Ndlovu is the first black female CEO to head LTA, following the departure of Ndumiso Matlala in April this year.

Nomasonto signed a three-year contract with the agency and her extensive experience and knowledge in the marketing field should benefit the LTA.

She has held various brand management positions at Unilever South Africa, spanning from 1995 to 2005; was the general manager at the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority from 2005 to 2007, was head of brand marketing, sponsorship and events at Standard Bank in the 2007 and 2008, served as global manager of business tourism at South African Tourism from 2008 to 2012 and as a strategic executive director of communications, marketing and events in the City of Tshwane from 2012 to 2017, before taking up the current position at LTA.

According to LTA Board Chairperson, Andrew Dipela, the agency is satisfied with the appointment.
