Blouberg
Blouberg Municipality is a mountainous area located within the Capricorn District in Limpopo Province.
The Blouberg Municipal area covers an area of approximately 5054sqkm. The area is situated about 95km from Polokwane with a population estimated at 161 322 inhabitants.
The geographical location of Blouberg between the Waterberg wetlands and the Dongola Trans-frontier Park, which encompasses the Mapungubwe area, is of great significance as the provincial Tourism directorate along the African Ivory route identifies this area.
Agriculture is one of the cornerstone of the economy in in Blouberg. The Marula tree that is found in abundance in the area, fruits are used to make traditional Morula beer and the world famous Amarula Cream Liquor.
