This was at a compact ceremony held in Polokwane on Tuesday, 17 November 2020.

“Our gathering here today is to deliver on a promise that we made when we started the Limpopo Championship golf tournament in 2019. From the onset we were clear that this should not just be an ordinary tournament that is played on our shores but should profile our destination as a leading golf and lifestyle destination while improving the livelihoods of our people,” said Dipela.

The Premier of Limpopo Province, Mr. Chupu Mathabatha, received the donation accompanied by Limpopo Economic Development Environment and Tourism (LEDET) MEC, Mr. Thabo Mokone, as well as the Chairperson of the Premeir’s Bursary Trust Fund, Ms Koko Khumalo.

Mathabatha said: “We wish to say to Sunshine Tour that the money that you invest in this province will yield good dividends. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. What you did will always stay in the hearts of the people of Limpopo.”

“What you have done here today is a revolutionary process as you are bringing sunshine to the minds of the people as your name states, Sunshine Tour. We may be viewed to be producing low quantity with matric results but I need to emphasize that we do not just need to produce quantity but quality. In a few years to come, this quality will multiply into quantity supported by your generosity,” Mathabatha concluded
