LIMPOPO; POLOKWANE: Limpopo Tourism Agency’s (LTA) participation with Limpopo tourism products in the 2025 World Travel Market (WTM) Africa held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 09th –11th April 2025 was not in vain. The Limpopo delegation was led by the Board Deputy Chairperson, Ms. Grace Sibara, supported by the CEO, Mr. Moses Ngobeni. The Agency used this platform as an opportunity to expose destination Limpopo and its offerings to other markets including trade and buyers from many parts of the world as the show is attended by many countries across the globe. Limpopo has this year taken fourteen (14) products, that is, ten (10) small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) and four (4) established products to this platform to give them market access.
World Travel Market Africa delivers the leading global events for the travel industry. It is one of the six shows in the WTM portfolio, the Africa show was launched in 2014 under the Africa Travel Week umbrella to bring the benefits and opportunities of the global industry expertise to travel professionals in this region. Over 6000 travel industry professionals participate annually at this platform. The WTM Africa is mirrored along events such as WTM London and the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. WTM Africa delivers a proven mix of Exhibitors, Hosted Buyers, Buyers club members, Media representatives, schedule appointments, networking, functions, and invited trade visitors.
WTM Africa is defined as a meeting place for Africa’s travel Industry meant to provide an even playing field and opportunity for investment in tourism. It further serves as the voice for the African travel industry to the global markets. Annually the vibrant event welcomes nearly 62000 delegates from the travel industry globally and in this region, over 3000 of these delegates are trade visitors (buyers) from 70 different countries. It attracts over 550 exhibitors.

We used this platform to interact with buyers and the media from various parts of the world”, said Mr. Moses Ngobeni, LTA CEO.
The objectives for participating in this tradeshow are:

- To engage tour operators who sell to outdoor enthusiasts.
- To increase brand equity through awareness.
- To lobby visitors to choose Limpopo as a holiday destination.
