LTA APPRCIATES CARLING BLACK LABEL CUP MATCH TO PETER MOKABA STADIUM, LIMPOPO

LIMPOPO; POLOKWANE: Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) welcomes and appreciates the decision by the organisers to bring the final match of the Carling Black Label Cup to Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba stadium on the 6th January 2024. Stellenbosch FC, who won their first-ever cup title by beating TS Galaxy at Moses Mabida stadium in Durban on the 16th December 2023, will touch ground in Polokwane to battle it out with the picked team by supporters from various DSTV Premiership clubs, Carling Black Label All Stars. LTA is thrilled to welcome teams and supporters from all over the country for this encounter to entertain soccer lovers just a few days before the commencement of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Chief Executive Officer of LTA, Mr. Moses Ngobeni, said, “We are so excited and indeed grateful for Limpopo Province to have been given this honour to host an event of this magnitude just before AFCON. This couldn’t have come at the right time against the backdrop of a successful festive period with droves of people having visited our province. We wish to plead once again with Limpopo citizens to open their arms by giving the many soccer lovers descending to Polokwane a warm welcome”.

The Agency, which has a partnership with Polokwane Municipality, urges those coming to Polokwane for the much-anticipated soccer match to take a Sho’t Left by visiting several tourism attractions in and around the city, such as Polokwane Game Reserve and Bakoni Malapa Open Air Museum. Soccer lovers will be fully entertained with performances before kick-off by artists like Thebe, Clement, King Monada and Makhadzi.
