LTA EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO THE MABENA FAMILY AND THE MEDIA FRATENITY ON THE PASSING OF BOB MABENA

POLOKWANE; LIMPOPO: Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) learnt with profound sadness and shock about the passing on of Mr. Bob Mabena. The legendary and iconic radio and TV presenter served the nation at various platforms in different portfolios. This humble servant will be missed and remembered by South Africa and the media fraternity in particular for the love of his job.

LTA wishes to thank Power FM for assisting to create awareness about destination Limpopo’s offerings through several interviews the station conducted with the Agency the CEO, Ms. Nomasonto Ndlovu, with the late Bob Mabena as the Morning Drive Show anchor at the station. It was through this programme whereby Bob Mabena and his team helped expose some of the hidden gems of destination Limpopo.

The promise we made at the time was that the show would at one stage be hosted in Limpopo at one of the establishments of note in the Waterberg District. LTA was planning that until everything was curtailed due to COVID-19.

“We would like to convey our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr. Bob Mabena and the entire media fraternity for this devastating loss. He was a true ambassador of life and indeed an agent for change. We are deeply worried as his departure leaves a void that will be very difficult to fill. We will always remember his passion for his job and how meticulously he did it. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” said Ms. Nomasonto Ndlovu, CEO of LTA.
