The 13th Edition of the Limpopo Marula festival is a sequel to twelve other festivals that have taken place since its inception in 2006. It comes at a time when Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism has concluded plans and arrangements to develop the Limpopo Marula Hub at Ingwe Park.

The developments planned at the Ingwe Park will improve the location which will now serve not only as a Marula Industrial Park for the women cooperatives to be permanent residents of the Hub and continue to contribute to the development of the industry into an all-year economic activity. The Hub will also become the new home of the annual Limpopo Marula Festival which has previously always been hosted at Impala Park Stadium in the town of Phalaborwa.

Over the years the festival has seen a steady increase in numbers attracting more people from various corners of the country and our SADC partners. Preparations for the imminent move into the new venue, INGWE PARK on the R71 will continue right through 2018 for the hosting of 2019 Annual Marula Festival activities as the relocation to the new venue will benefit the overall value chain.

Phalaborwa remains the permanent host of Marula Festival activities, with Impala Park Stadium as the 2018 Annual Marula Festival host facility. A variety of activities will commence from 13 February to March 2018.
