Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) MEC, Tshitereke Matibe, has praised the Limpopo tourism exhibition stand for its captivating design that showcases the province’s diverse cultural and environmental landscape at the Africa Tourism Indaba in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal taking place from 12 to 15 May.
The stand, which will host Limpopo’s 54 tourism SMMEs and products, is designed masterfully to weave together iconic features of Limpopo’s different districts, creating a visual narrative that transports visitors to the heart of the province. It is a kaleidoscope of bold and brilliant colors that echo the rich cultural heritage of the dominant tribes – the VaTsonga, VhaVenda, and BaPedi people.
“We have brought a stand that our people can be proud of, and it will undoubtedly draw wholesale tourism buyers and visitors to create new partnerships and opportunities for the SMMEs that we have transported to be part of this renowned event,” says MEC Matibe.
The Africa Tourism Indaba has brought together local and international exhibitors showcasing a diverse array of tourism products, all vying for attention and partnerships with international tourism buyers.
“We are confident that our stand will outshine others and leave a lasting impression on visitors,” added MEC Matibe. “This is an opportunity for Limpopo to showcase its unique tourism offerings and attract investment and partnerships that will drive economic growth and development in the province.”
